Die 1845 in Tinholt unter Leitung von Jan Berend Sundag (Samern) gegründete Gemeinde wanderte 1847 fast vollständig in die USA aus. Der Rest schloss sich bis 1953 Veldhausen und Emlichheim an. 1953 Neugründung und heutiges Kirchengebäude.
